Australian cricketer in the news for hitting a 129-meter six against India

Desk Report :
Tim David sent the crowd and the ball into a frenzy at Hobart’s Bellerive Oval today. Facing Axar Patel in the seventh over, David stepped forward and delivered a big straight hit just over the bowler’s head. The ball rose high, crossed the ceiling of the gallery and disappeared into the night. There was no doubt that it was a six – but what shocked everyone was the distance: 129 metres! According to Fox Sports, this tremendous hit is now the longest six in the history of international T20 cricket. The channel’s data analysts confirmed that David’s shot traveled a distance of 129 meters at an incredible speed of 153 km/h. Commentator Mark Howard couldn’t believe his eyes, saying, “It’s coming towards the commentary box! He’s taken a straight hit – almost into the River Derwent!” (By the way, the River Derwent flows right in front of Hobart Stadium.) This remarkable six was not officially recorded in the record books, as not all venues have six-distance tracking systems. Still, it remains one of the biggest hits ever seen in T20 cricket. Just a few days ago, Mitchell Marsh had hit a 124 meter long six in Melbourne – but David’s effort went much further than that. The Hobart crowd were treated to more than just one big shot. David scored 74 runs in 38 balls with the help of 8 fours and 5 sixes. Thanks to his explosive innings, Australia scored 186/6 runs in 20 overs. However, despite his heroics, India chased down the target with 9 balls to spare, winning by 5 wickets. Arshdeep Singh was adjudged Player of the Match for taking 3 wickets for 35 runs in 4 overs. With this result, the five-match T20 series is now level at 1-1, making for an exciting finale with the next two matches scheduled on November 6 and 8. One thing is for sure – Tim David’s 129 meter rocket will be talked about for a long time!
